Your Calendars For Our 2010 Holiday Ministries
Operation
Christmas Child:
The shoe boxes need to be
at the Church by our evening service on November 21. If you
cannot put together a shoe box, but would like to contribute to this
ministry, there is a Samaritan’s Purse catalog on the back table with
specific ways to help.
ChristmasChristmas Cards For Our Missionaries:
Encouraging missionaries
who are often separated from their families, country and friends is one
of the most critical roles we play. We can do that at this time of year
by remembering them with a Christmas card. Boxes for the Missionary
cards will be found on the Missions table beginning next week.
Missionary Christmas Gifts:
There will be a basket on
the Holiday table to collect funds toward Missionary Christmas gifts.
We will be sending monetary gifts to our missionary partners: The Kleis
family, and the James family.
Thanksgiving Service:
We will celebrate
Thanksgiving as a Church Family on Sunday, November 21, at 6 pm.
This special
service will include a devotional, corporate praise, prayer and the
reading of the “leaves” from our traditional Thanksgiving Tree. It will
be a blessing for the entire family. Families are encouraged to bring a
pumpkin or apple pie for our fellowship time after the service. Nursery
care will be provided.
Open House:
Dennis and Lynda McBride
will host a Holiday Open House on Sunday, December 5, from 1:00-3:30 pm. Goodies will be provided.
Atterdag Village:
On Sunday, December 5,
at 4 pm we will minister at the Atterdag Village. Please pray for
Dennis who will be teaching. Our children will be singing in costume.
Plan to bring the whole family.
December F.E.E.D.:
The ladies will gather together on Monday, December 6,
at 6 pm for food, fellowship, prayer and a craft project. As an
outreach, we plan to make Christmas wreaths. More details will be coming
soon, but ladies, mark your calendars.
Christmas Caroling & Chili:
Sunday, December 12.
More information to follow.
Christmas Fellowship Supper:
Sunday, December 19,
at 6 pm:
We will gather at the Church for salad and dessert, and then enjoy a
special Christmas program This has become a delightful church holiday
tradition. Nursery care will be provided.
Christmas Worship Service:
Sunday, December 19, at 10 am:
We will meet for
our annual Christmas Worship celebration. Please pray that many
unbelievers will respond to our advertising and caroling outreach and
attend our service. Pray also for God’s blessing on the preaching of
His Word – that Christ will be exalted and that the gospel will lead
sinners to Him in saving faith.
Christmas Eve Service:
Friday, December 24:
Once
again we share Christmas Eve with Trinity Baptist Church. The
candlelight communion service will be at Trinity Baptist Church at 6 pm.
