The Gospel of Jesus Christ
  Now I make known to you, brethren, the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, in which also you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain.

For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures...

  How to Receive Christ
 

Receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is the most important thing you will ever do. Receiving Him involves:
 

  • Acknowledging that you are a sinner in need of a Savior:
         Ecclesiastes 7:20     - "Indeed, there is not a righteous man on earth who continually
         does good and who never sins."
         Romans 3:23 - "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

  • Placing your faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation, trusting that He died as a full payment for your sins.
         Isaiah 53:5     - "He [Christ] was pierced through for our transgressions, He was
         crushed for our iniquities."
         Ephesians 2:8-9 - "By grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of
         yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast."
         John 14:6 - Jesus said, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the
         Father but through me."
  • Confessing Jesus Christ as the Lord and Master of your life.
         Romans 10:9 - "If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your
         heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved."
